Mark-PhooiMark Phooi Peck Lye, Mdes, UNSW
Principal


CEO of First Media Consulting Group, Mark is a strategic and tactical thinker and doer. Design and management trained, Mark started his one man outfit in 1989 and grew to more than 200 staff in 2005 with offices across regional countries. He was the only graphic designer ever to win the Top Entrepreneurs of the Year Award in 2006. He serve d as Honorary Secretary with the Designers Association Singapore (DAS) from 1998 to 2001. Presently he holds the appointment as a council member of Design Manpower Skills & Training Council, an initiative by WDA, MICA and Design Singapore.

Mark Phooi graduated from UNSW with a Master's degree in Design and is the founder of First Media Design School.

 

David-FooDavid Foo Choon Yong, Mdes, UNSW
Vice-Principal / Academic Director


David graduated with a Masters in Design from UNSW. He is also a certified Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner and accredited in Whole Brain Technology, Herrmann International. David also sits as Director for various organisations and was actively engaged to assist in start-ups, mergers and expansions. As a highly experienced and respected Creative Director, he specializes in various design disciplines including advertising, marketing communications and interactive media.

As a certified Neuro Linguistic practitioner, David is a sought after lecturer on Creativity and The Whole Brain Preference and have conducted lectures for directors, professors, scientists, lawyers, managers and thousands of students from several Asia Pacific countries.

Head - Fashion Design


Ali graduated from New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and has more than 3 decades of designing, teaching and design business experiences. He was with the international fashion label house, Esta before joining Temasek Polytechnic as a lecturer in Fashion. His last career was a Designpreneur creating his very own women’s fashion wear. He has in-depth local and regional designing and production experiences. He is well verse in fashion label conceptualization, design processes, production and retail promotion.
